ABOUT ALL OCCASIONS
For over a decade, mother-and-daughter team Angela and Sarah Sharp have been arranging floral bouquets and styling venues for celebrations from the All Occasions shop in the market town of Howden in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
With Angela’s keen eye for detail and experience in arranging flowers for hundreds of weddings, combined with Sarah’s high standards in customer care and event planning, All Occasions is the preferred florist of many local wedding and event venues.
ANGELA
Arranging flowers has been my passion for over 20 years. After studying floristry at Goole College, I went on to graduate with a Level 2 in Floristry from Doncaster College and won the Joyce Margetson Trophy in Flower Arranging at The Great Yorkshire Show. I joined All Occasions in 2006 as a part-time florist and when the previous proprietor retired five years later, I jumped at the chance to take over the business. If I’m not in the shop creating bouquets for our lovely customers, I’m on-location with brides and grooms, styling flowers around the venue for their big day. It’s very rewarding seeing newly married couples share photos featuring the flowers I have arranged for them; seeing their vision come to life is why I love doing what I do.
SARAH
I joined All Occasions in 2014 after graduating from my studies in business and finance. Angela had become very busy with wedding flowers, so I started helping with the running of the shop and assisting her with styling wedding venues. I was quickly bitten by the wedding bug! What started out as a couple of days a week quickly evolved into the management of the shop and events full-time. Some days I am in the shop helping customers choose a gift, and other days I am styling wedding venues or going out on deliveries; it’s the best feeling seeing the surprised smile of someone receiving a gifted bouquet.
